“Ignite your child’s love of learning!”
Thank you for considering Creative Learning Academy for your child’s education. We understand that this is a very important decision for you and your family. We encourage you to call and schedule a time to visit our beautiful campus and meet with us to discuss the CLA program and how our strong, college preparatory school can meet your family’s educational goals and desires. Please call us at 432-1768 or email emailus@cla-online.org.
The Student Profile for Success will outline the characteristics of a successful student experience at CLA. Please read and consider whether your child might be a “good fit” for our program.
Admission events will occur during the school year and are described below.
Creative Learning Academy (CLA) is a co-educational, non-denominational, college preparatory, independent day school. The school is accredited by the Florida Council of Independent Schools and the Florida Kindergarten Council and is an affiliate member of the American Montessori Society and the National Association of Independent Schools. CLA serves children in Preprimary (3 years) through Middle School (eighth grade).
The Mission of Creative Learning Academy is to provide students with a strong foundation of academic excellence, creativity, integrity and intercultural awareness.
The profile of a successful student at CLA includes the following characteristics:
Students who attend CLA possess a wide variety of gifts, talents and abilities. Students who would benefit from academic challenge, creative approaches to learning, the practice of integrity and honesty, the development of intercultural awareness and respect, and a community of caring and support are encouraged to apply to the school through the Admission Office.
CLA is not equipped or staffed to accommodate students with learning differences. Each student applicant will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
It is our top goal to enroll students who will meet with success at CLA. We believe it is a disservice to both the child and family to admit a student who in one way or another could be unsuccessful. As a courtesy to prospective families, here is an outline of concerns that our teachers have identified as being indicators of potential difficulties:
All students newly admitted to CLA will be closely evaluated for indicators of their continued and future success. The school reserves the right to disenroll any student during the first 45 school days for any reason. If the family has purchased tuition insurance, the tuition will be refunded as indicated in the contractual agreements.
Parents in Partnership with CLA
It is very important to the administration and faculty of CLA, for parents of students to trust and support our curriculum, our mission, our faculty and staff, and our guiding principles. We encourage parents to demonstrate patience and realistic expectations for their children in the learning process. We seek parents and students who share our common goal of educating the whole child – spiritually, intellectually, emotionally and physically.
Families are always encouraged to schedule personal tours of the school. Personal meetings and tours are scheduled year round. Times may be arranged to accommodate the busy schedules of today’s families. However, the best times to see the school are when the teachers and students are here and actively involved in school activities, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Please navigate your way through the Admission pages including the Application Process, and Tuition and Financial Assistance pages, to gather more specific information related to your interest and needs at this time.
Again, thank you for your interest in CLA and we look forward to meeting you soon, as you begin the application process. Please do not hesitate to call us at 850-432-1768, if you have questions and/or you would like to schedule a personal tour.
